The Fairfield Finance Department handles all financial matters in accordance with governmental accounting standards.

The department is responsible for monitoring the budget for both revenues and expenditures for all municipal operations. These also include state and federal grants, water, sewer, and pool utilities, along with all capital and trust funds.

The department also prepares the municipal payroll along with all associated reports and records. All accounts payable and accounts receivable activity is controlled by the finance department as well.
