The Human Services Department addresses the needs of Fairfield's Senior Residents by providing them with a network of social and recreational activities. The Department helps residents with applications for local, county and federal programs, such as food stamps, medicare, PAAD, and Social Security, and operates as a referral service for all related inquiries. The Department also operates the Fairfield Community Center at 376 Hollywood Avenue
Activities sponsored by the Human Services Department include:

Weekly Bus Transportation for senior citizens to local shopping centers. |

Twice-Monthly Movies for seniors at the Community Center. |

"A Gathering of Friends," Social Group for seniors 55 and over. |

Fairfield Golden Age Club |

Senior citizen programming such as the September Picnic-at-theFairfield-Pool, Fall Luncheon, December Christmas Party, and Luncheon theater Bus Trips, |

Monthly trips to Atlantic City. |

Co-sponsor Health Clinics with the Health Department, including West Essex Family Health Day Every October. |

Monthly blood pressure screening at Fairfield Municipal Building (September thru June). |

Transportation to medical appointments (must contact the Department for names and phone numbers of volunteer drivers). |

The Human Services Department is located at Fairfield Town Hall and is open every day from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
